What is registration of trademarks and patents?

A trademark and a patent are a legally secured advantage for a business: they grant an exclusive right to a brand or technical solution and protect them from use by competitors. The right arises only with proper registration, and its strength depends on the quality of the search, the drafting of the application and the subsequent maintenance of protection.
