The GOLAW Lawyers Discussed the Latest M&A Trends with the Best European Professionals in Dusseldorf
The XIII M&A International Lawyers’Conference has become a platform for discussing the latest trends in the practiceon mergers and acquisitions. From September 29 to October 1, the communicationplatform brought together nearly 100 best European professionals specialised ininternational M&A deals.
The professionals shared the latest European M&A practices of settlement of M&A deals and discussed in detail the problematic issues of intellectual property in such deals. The lawyers were Interested in deals concluded via e-mail correspondence.
“Year by year, mergers and acquisitions are becoming increasingly complex and contain a variety of hidden risks for both the participants and the company, which is the subject of the deal. The international practice includes cases when even the insufficiently detailed wording of individual provisions of the deal made it impossible for the new owner to use the company’s trademark, which in turn completely devalued the entire business”, commented Maxym Lebedev, Managing Lawyer at GOLAW, who participated in the Conference.
