GOLAW Senior Partner Took Part in a Business Event in Preparation for Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025

On March 5, 2025, the business event “On the road to URC 2025” was held in Milan, bringing together about 350 representatives of international business, governments, international financial institutions, banks and regional authorities. The event was an important step on the road to the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025, which will be held on July 10-11 in Rome and organized by the governments of Ukraine and Italy. Senior Partner at GOLAW Sergiy Oberkovych participated in the event.

The program of the event in Milan focused on discussing policies and mechanisms that can be transformed into concrete results at the upcoming conference in Rome. Particular attention was paid to the following topics:

  • access to finance, insurance and investment incentives;
  • green transition and renewable energy;
  • production and manufacturing;
  • infrastructure projects and housing construction;
  • critical mineral resources;
  • the role of small and medium-sized businesses in Ukraine’s economic recovery.

The sessions discussed financial mechanisms for attracting investors, including instruments of the European Union and international financial institutions. Considerable attention was paid to the risks and challenges faced by businesses in the context of war, as well as ways to overcome them. Representatives of European governments and financial institutions emphasized their long-term political support for Ukraine and the importance of creating a favorable investment climate.

Panel discussions and workshops touched on green energy, localization of production, modernization of transport infrastructure, and integration of Ukrainian enterprises into global supply chains. A special emphasis was placed on supporting small and medium-sized businesses, which are the backbone of the country’s economic recovery.

GOLAW systematically supports initiatives aimed at restoring Ukraine, in particular by providing legal assistance to international investors considering entering the Ukrainian market. Participation in the business event “On the road to URC 2025” allowed GOLAW to join strategic discussions on the future economic landscape of Ukraine, as well as to establish new contacts with potential partners, investors and international organizations.
