ANALYTICAL SESSION  |  Defence City: overview, residency, and impact on investment

What is behind this concept, what advantages does it offer to companies, and what challenges might it pose in practice? Answers to these questions will be provided during the GOLAW analytical session in partnership with EPSA Ukraine, which will take place on November 21 in Kyiv.

The event will bring together business representatives, investors, and lawyers interested in the development of the defense sector. The discussion will focus on the actual mechanisms for obtaining residency in Defence City, the feasibility of participation in the regime based on specific cases, and the potential for combining it with other special legal regimes. Special attention will be paid to issues of financing and supporting projects related to the defense industry.

The speakers at the event will be Nazarii Zeliak, Associate at Corporate law and M&A practice at GOLAW, and Valeriia Sorokina, Head of Partnership Programs at EPSA Ukraine, who will share their own experience in analyzing regulatory initiatives in the field of defense law, as well as practical advice for companies considering obtaining Defence City resident status.
