GOLAW Partners participated in the 15th European-Ukrainian Energy Day

On October 29, the 15th European-Ukrainian Energy Day was held in Vienna, organized by the European-Ukrainian Energy Agency (EUEA) with the support of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber. The event, which coincided with the 15th anniversary of EUEA, brought together key representatives of the energy sector of Ukraine and Europe: government officials, representatives of financial institutions, business and the expert community.

The main topic of this year’s conference was the balance of speed and quality of Ukraine’s recovery, reflected in the slogan “To rebuild better or faster: finding the balance”. Participants discussed innovative approaches to integrating renewable energy sources, improving energy efficiency and ensuring the resilience of infrastructure in the process of rebuilding the country.

The conference raised topical issues of financing and risk management for new green energy projects. In particular, they discussed available financial instruments, barriers, and creative solutions that can ensure the sustainable development of projects even in times of economic instability.

A panel discussion on the integration of renewable energy into the process of rebuilding Ukraine and the financial aspects of supporting such projects aroused great interest. GOLAW partner Oleksandr Melnyk participated in this session as a speaker. He shared his experience in financing and risk minimization for renewable energy projects. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of creating favorable conditions for investment in green projects that can be successfully implemented even in the face of uncertainty.

Other GOLAW partners — Sergiy Oberkovych, Kateryna Manoylenko and Kateryna Tsvetkova — joined the conference as participants. By actively participating in such international events, GOLAW confirms its contribution to the development of Ukraine’s energy sector.
