“A Green Future for Ukraine: GOLAW and RePower Foundation Complete a Solar Energy Project in the Kyiv Region”
The law firm GOLAW is proud to announce its successful collaboration with the RePower charitable foundation on a pro bono project aimed at supporting Ukraine’s energy security. RePower focuses on the development of renewable energy sources, with a mission to assist communities by implementing innovative energy solutions that address modern challenges.
As part of the project, the GOLAW team provided legal support regarding the import of solar panels into Ukraine.
These panels were recently installed on the roof of a hospital in Brovary, providing the medical facility with a reliable and environmentally friendly source of energy. The solar power station will now ensure energy independence for the hospital’s intensive care unit, serving over 187,000 residents of Brovary, the Brovary district, and even parts of Kyiv’s left bank.
This pro bono project is critically important for the local community as it ensures stable energy supply for the hospital, reduces dependence on traditional energy resources, and decreases its carbon footprint. Amid the country’s energy crisis, securing uninterrupted energy supply for medical facilities is a top priority, and the installation of solar panels plays a significant role in achieving this goal.
GOLAW’s lawyers are actively engaged in the restoration of Ukraine’s energy sector, supporting initiatives that promote sustainable development. Our team advises investors, developers, EPC contractors, green energy producers, and financial institutions on interpreting and applying regulatory frameworks to implement green energy projects. Simultaneously, we advocate for the advancement of Ukraine’s renewable energy sector and facilitate connections between international and foreign investors and local developers.
We are proud to be part of this vital project that not only supports critically important medical facilities but also contributes to the growth of renewable energy in Ukraine. It demonstrates how collaborative efforts between businesses and charitable organizations can drive real change. For the GOLAW team, participation in such pro bono initiatives is not merely fulfilling professional obligations but a way to act on our deep belief that businesses can and should be a driving force for positive societal change. Our expertise in the legal aspects of socially significant projects accelerates processes that contribute to the country’s development and make modern technologies more accessible to the wider population. We believe that by supporting the implementation of innovative technologies, we are contributing to Ukraine’s energy security and its ecologically sustainable future.
We are confident that our work with the RePower foundation will benefit not only specific communities but also support the broader recovery and development of Ukraine’s energy sector.
