Associate of GOLAW participated in the Roundtable Discussion on the implementation of Public-Private Partnership projects in the context of Ukraine’s recovery

On 20 March Associate of Corporate Law and M&A practice at GOLAW Yevhenii Ahashkov participated in a roundtable discussion on implementing public-private partnership (PPP) projects in the context of Ukraine’s recovery.

The event brought together AmCham members, representatives of Ukraine’s Parliament, the PPP Agency of the Ministry of Economy, the Project Office for the PPP Development in Infrastructure “SPILNO” of the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, the National Depository of Ukraine, National Securities and Stock Market Commission, and the International Finance Corporation.

Participants discussed the practical aspects of initiating PPP projects, the issue of trust in the state as a partner, opportunities for developing transport infrastructure through PPP mechanisms, successful cases of implementing such projects, existing and potential financing of PPP projects, and optimal project financing models in the context of Ukraine’s recovery.

The participants agreed on the necessity of improving respective legislation and soonest adopting Draft Law No. 7508 in the second hearing.

We are grateful to AmCham Ukraine for initiating this crucial dialogue.
