GOLAW Managing Partner Valentyn Gvozdiy took part in the Ukrainian-Italian conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine

Today, a bilateral conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine, which is held under the auspices of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Italy and Ukraine, has started in Rome. The conference brings together the highest representatives of governments, the European Commission, and the international financial institutions (IFIs) to formulate concrete proposals for Ukraine’s rapid and effective recovery.

The Ukrainian delegation, headed by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, provided direct information on rebuilding the country. The event is attended by about 700 guests, including representatives of the business world, major international financial institutions, and trade associations.

During the conference, GOLAW Managing Partner Valentyn Gvozdiy, also the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Ukrhydroenergo, spoke on the issue of restoring Ukraine’s energy system.

“Creating a powerful hydrogen industry is one of the most important priorities in the energy sector for post-war recovery. Given its natural resources, interconnected infrastructure, and technological development, Ukraine has significant potential for hydrogen production. Moreover, the European Commission has identified Ukraine as a priority partner in the European Green Deal and considers our country a major exporter in future multilateral partnerships,” the speaker said.

“That is why introducing a decentralized energy system and smart grids, energy storage systems, and hydrogen technologies can become a powerful incentive for attracting international investment in the future,” Valentyn concluded.

GOLAW is one of the leading law firms that implements effective support for large-scale projects in green energy. The firm’s lawyers successfully support energy projects with a focus on renewable sources and attraction of project financing from leading export credit agencies and international financial institutions.

The firm’s clients are international companies, investors, and developers implementing solar, wind energy, and biomass projects.
