Attorney at GOLAW Tetiana Opanasiuk spoke at an international conference on Ukraine's legal recovery

On February 12, 2026, the XVI International Scientific and Practical Conference “Legal Paradigm of Ukraine’s Recovery: Problems and Prospects” was held, with attorney at GOLAW and lecturer at the National School of Judges of Ukraine Tetiana Opanasiuk participating in the plenary session. The event, organized by the Faculty of Law and International Relations of the Kyiv Aviation Institute State University, served as a platform for professional discussion on the future of Ukrainian justice.

In her presentation, Tetiana analyzed how the judicial system has adapted to the challenges of full-scale war through changes in jurisdiction and active digitization of processes. She emphasized that the continuous work of the courts, even in such difficult times, is the main proof of the rule of law in Ukraine.

The lawyer paid particular attention to the institutional independence of the judiciary. In her opinion, it is the autonomy of the courts that is the key safeguard against excessive restrictions on justice in a state of martial law. The resilience of the system today lies not only in its response to the crisis, but also in its readiness to rebuild infrastructure, renew personnel, and restore public confidence in the de-occupied territories.

Concluding her speech, Tetiana emphasized that strengthening the courts remains a strategic priority for Ukraine’s European integration. Only a balance between stable laws and flexible governance will allow the judiciary to effectively protect human rights in the post-war period.
